areas of opportunity
At Thrive Initiative, volunteers are the heart of our mission. There are many ways to make a difference, whether mentoring youth, supporting programs, or helping create a positive environment for growth.
Each opportunity allows you to invest your time, skills, and encouragement into the lives of young people; helping them build confidence, make positive choices, and envision a brighter future.
Join us in guiding the next generation to rise above challenges and truly thrive.

5pm - 7pm at the Broward Juvenile Detention Center. Focus: Reset, goals, thinking differently.
Every Monday we partner with Project 222 as we step inside the Broward Juvenile Detention Center with one mission: Build Momentum.
The past does not define these young men (and women) but, the choices and the decisions they make moving forward can.
Through mentorship, conversation, and reflection, we remind them that their story isn’t over, it’s still being written.

6pm - 7pm at the Broward Juvenile Detention Center (Women Only). Focus: Empowering young women.
On Tuesdays we pour into the young women at the Broward Juvenile Detention Center.
Not with judgement but with hope, truth, and encouragement.
Every conversation is a reminder that mistakes do not erase purpose because every young woman deserves the opportunity to thrive.

in-house school mentoring in Pompano Beach, FL. Focus: Guiding students toward positive choices - leadership, decision-making, and prevention.
Every Wednesday we remind students that their future is built on the choices that they make today.
We help young people see beyond their current environment and into their potential by offering mentorship, conversation, and guidance.
When young people gain wisdom, they gain the power to properly lead their own lives.
Our Process
Build Trust and Connection
Every relationship starts with genuine care and consistency. Mentors create safe, supportive spaces where youth feel heard, valued, and understood.
Encourage Reflection and Growth
Through guided discussions, activities, and personal reflection, youth examine their choices, goals, and strengths, building self-awareness and resilience.
Teach Skills and Positive Decision-Making
Mentors provide tools for leadership, accountability, and problem-solving, helping youth make informed choices and develop skills for long-term success.
Inspire Vision and Purpose
Through encouragement, goal-setting, and personal guidance, youth are empowered to see a future full of opportunity and take actionable steps toward becoming their best selves.
